Aleethia!

Our church Christmas play this year actually took place in January. Instead of the traditional Christmas story or the Scrooge play for which Rusty is known, we put on a futuristic play in which Christians in America are persecuted for their faith.

Rusty wrote the script and the whole church worked hard to put it together.

I’ll have some video from the play available next week, but for now, here’s a few photos of the artwork designed for the play. Lauren designed the poster that we put up around town and sent out to the other churches in the area. Bryan LeBarre spearheaded the design and production of the forest on the sanctuary walls. The walls where covered in black paper and then a forest scene was drawn using pastel chalks and then sealed with a clear spray. Lauren, Robert, Holly and Jen all assisted Bryan with the work, but he was the main artist behind the work.

Good job all!

The Mexican Christmas celebration was so much fun! A big thanks to Lalo, April, and Lynne for all their hard work putting it together for us all to enjoy.

Here are a few photos from our First Sunday Breakfast in November. Lauren was absent with an eye infection so Mindy took over pancake duties. I cooked the sausage, but nobody took photos of that!

Here is a collection of photos from our recent Family Night Dinner, where we shared a meal and presented Rusty & Rebecca with a pastor appreciation gift. Also included are a few photos from a recent game of Sprinkles.

The Senior Scavenger hunt and picnic was an overwhelming success. Everyone had a good time. The girls got kicked out of Wal-Mart. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Here are some pictures from BattleCry 2008 in Winston-Salem. We had a great time, lots of fun, and we learned a lot about living the Christian life. Some of our lives were changed.

ReCreate 2008!

Mark your calendars! Battle Cry! is Friday and Saturday, March 28-29. The event is in Winston-Salem, NC this year, so it’s close to home.Check with Rusty or Brance before asking a friend to go with us. Begin now to pray for our youth group & the friends invited to go. Pray that each person would be radically transformed and develop a hunger and thirst for God and His Word.

There will be youth get together on Sun Feb. 17 at 6:30. We could watch a movie or do something else if weather permits. It is the same day as the bowling trip but, if you guys still want to get together the option will be available. So try to keep your schedules clear
